Wendy Vanessa Yew is probably one of the youngest and dedicated trainer in Singapore. She started her career full time 2006 at a young age of 21 in Media and Advertising industry-Singapore Press Holding. Being tasked for competitive roles like advertising sales and customer campaign management, Wendy juggles between her clients and in house customer service associates that she manage and meanwhile ensure the team deliver quality service. Wendy manage to achieve quarterly quota and target within a month and a half and Highest sales volume which highly contributed to total sales attained of Year 2007.
Prior to her full time career in Singapore, Wendy was based in Shanghai for 4years. Wendy holds a Bachelor of Economics in International Trade and Economics from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. During her studies in China, she has been freelancing in interpretation service for International businessman and MATRADE(Malaysian External Trade Development E) for the Minister and VIPs from Malaysia. She was also a cultural dancer for Tourism Malaysia and has gain stage exposure since she was a teen. Being a Public Relationship for the Malaysian Student Association(MSAS), she has been proven to be a effective communicator with people from different age group and background.
Wendy found her artistic call after being a dancer and she went for Performing Arts course from Shanghai Theatre Academy(China) and Dream Forest Studio(Singapore). She learnt and pratisce mastering skills like over-coming stage fright and effective vocal projection. She was passionate for hosting and took a voice training course from the former Mediacorp DJ-Ms.Jessica Seet. After being given opportunities to host for some major and minor events, with the skills learnt and some unique techniques she discover, Wendy was able to catch up and be in pile with other professional emcees in Singapore in less than 1 year’s time and has been a high sought after bilingual emcee in Singapore.
She has successfully hosted for clients like: Magnum, London Weight Management, Expressions International, SK2, Essilor, Singapore Armed Forces, Health Promotion Board, National Day Parade Live Telecast,
Wendy first came across training when she was with her fellow business associate who offers her to give a 1 hour guest speaking. From that session, she receives highly positive feedback and invitation to coach and she had never look back. For her strong command in Chinese and English, she is one of the very few bilingual trainer in Singapore. She is currently a ACTA(Advance Certificate For Trainer and Assessor) Coach which is issued by the Workforce Development Agency of Singapore.
Being a practitioner of effective presenter, Wendy is able to assist the others in order to maximize their communication potential through the effective use of voice and speech. Wendy coached each individual to inject personality in developing a unique and signature communication style. Wendy will also be able to give tips and street smart ways where other beginner in public speaking will be able to pick up useful skills instantly like standing position, breathing techniques etc.
